8th place in list of best players of 2023 goes to sh1ro

The reputable portal HLTV.org named the eighth place winner of its ranking of the best players of 2023. This position is occupied by Team Spirit's Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov.

The Russian esports athlete joined the Dragons only in December, while he spent almost the entire year of 2023 representing Cloud9. His greatest achievements with his previous team included reaching the final of ESL Pro League Season 17 and placing 3rd-4th at IEM Rio 2023. At each of these two tournaments, as well as at IEM Cologne 2023, Sokolov was crowned Exceptional Valuable Player (EVP).

At the end of 2023, the average rating of sh1ro reached 1.20. Among other things, he stood out in terms of kills per round (0.78) and multikills (5.9% of rounds with 3+ kills). By these stats, the star AWPer is second among all representatives of the pro scene.
