American region to receive five spots at PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024

American region will be represented at PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 by five teams. This was reported by Dust2.us, which received a comment from Valve regarding the distribution of spots at the upcoming Major in the spring of 2024.

Despite the changes in Liquid's lineup, the developers have assigned Americas the five spots allocated for the region following the results of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. Valve stated that even if the Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis-led roster finally moves to Europe, North America and South America will retain the fifth spot.

Notably, in the summer, information appeared, according to which the American region could lose the only berth in the Legends Stage of PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. The reason for that was the fact that Liquid, which earned a spot in the Legends Stage due to advancing to the top 8 at the Major in Paris as Americas' representative, moved to the European region.

PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 will take place from March 17 to 31 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tournament will feature a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
