Hussar Cup 2023 postponed to summer 2024
Tournament operator Innovation Esport Group announced via its Twitter account the postponement of Hussar Cup 2023 to the summer of 2024.
Reportedly, the tournament has been postponed once again due to the loss of all sponsors, which did not like multiple changes in the event's schedule. Because of this, the organizers decided to run the competition next summer in order to find new investors in the meantime.
Hussar Cup 2023 was initially scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 3. At the time of the announcement, the competition featured a $1 million prize pool.
However, the organizers later postponed the tournament to November, changed the location, and reduced the prize pool to $600K. At the same time, six invitees of Hussar Cup 2023 were announced, namely Apeks, 9INE, GamerLegion, Monte, MIBR and BIG.
Innovation Esport Group noted that they will try to preserve the agreements with confirmed participants, ensuring they will compete at the tournament in the summer of 2024. In addition, the tournament operator thanked the fans for their support and asked them to treat the current situation with understanding.
Notably, at the time of publication, the organizers had not announced specific dates for the event.
