G2 became the strongest team in Group D at ESL Pro League Season 18, due to which they secured a ticket to the quarter-finals of the playoff stage. In the upper bracket final, the Samurai defeated Complexity with a scoreline of 2:1 – 8:16 on Anubis, 19:16 on Inferno and 16:4 on Ancient.

In turn, despite the defeat, the North American team advanced to the Round of 16 of the tournament's decisive stage.
