friberg announces his intention to pursue career in Counter-Strike 2

Swedish esports athlete Adam "friberg" Friberg announced on HLTV Confirmed podcast that he has no intention of retiring. He also added that he wants to return to the pro scene in Counter-Strike 2 to assemble a Swedish roster as IGL.

Moving on to CS2, I haven't retired. I feel like I want to give it a try. It would be very stupid of me to go out and retire now, with a new game on the horizon, especially since I love Counter-Strike. I've lived and breathed CS for the last 18 years almost. I still feel like I have a lot to give. Most likely as an in-game leader, I would love to give it back to the Swedish pro scene.

friberg is one of the Sweden's most decorated pro players. As part of NIP, he won Major in Cologne, as well as reached the finals of four other Majors.

The previous team in friberg’s career was Dignitas, which he departed in the summer of 2022. Since then, the 31-year-old Swede has been inactive.
