YEKINDAR temporarily takes over as Liquid's IGL

Liquid competes at the ongoing BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 under the leadership of Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, as it was announced by North American team's coach Damian "daps" Steele in an interview with HLTV.org.

According to daps, the team was forced to switch players for the IGL role as Nick"nitr0" Cannella missed the first week of the bootcamp, during which Liquid made changes on three maps at once. Liquid's coach also noted that YEKINDAR previously filled the role as the second caller, so the changes cannot be considered significant.

Right before the Paris Major, Gaļinskis told that Liquid held a two-week bootcamp in Amsterdam. In particular, the Latvian esports athlete admitted that the team would participate in the Major with a new play style.

Liquid kicked off BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 from the Challengers stage. Based on the results of four rounds, the YEKINDAR-led roster is in the 2-2 pool and tomorrow will fight in the decisive match for a ticket to the Legends Stage.
