Ex-Astralis player shares tips for young players

Ex-Astralis player Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, who put his career on hold to work on Danish TV, shared some tips for young players via his Twitter. He believes that only a small share of them will become famous and earn good money, so it is important not to put everything on the line for the sake of the game.

I'm not trying to ruin anyone's dream here. But the reality of trying to become a Pro CS player is absurdly hard, the competition is fierce Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Set some goals, to achieve certain things and be honest with yourself in the process.

To put it into perspective. There’s mby 100 players in CS who earn a good salary from playing. In the last 30 days there were 1.5 million players, meaning 0.0067% of the player base was able to earn a good income. Obviously a good income is different from country to country.

I'm not saying, you shouldn’t try to chase your dreams. But have other options, don’t deprioritize all other aspects of your life. Focus on school, health, work as well. There's some people who went all in and failed, and are now in a tough place. You just don’t hear about them.

Earlier, Andresen shared tips on how to progress on FACEIT. The Dane outlined twelve points based on his own experience.
