ropz earned €750,000 in 2022
For period of 2022, FaZe's Robin "ropz" Kool earned €750,000, as the Reddit user, who studied the publicly available tax return of the Estonian esports athlete, concluded.
To receive the income, ropz established a company, with all payments from December 2021 coming to its accouns. Among other things, at the end of 2021, he received a €40.6K payment from Germany. This is presumably a salary from MOUZ, which, after taxes, would translate to €23K.
For period of 2022, ropz received €750,000 from three main sources of income: salary from FaZe, prize money for tournaments and sponsorship payments. The Reddit user suggested that after tax, deducting prize money and sponsorship payments, the Estonian's monthly salary was roughly €41K.
According to Kool's tax return, over the past year, out of all the money he earned, he spent €200,000 on his own salary, which gave him an average €9K net after taxes, every month. The star player also received €100,000 in dividends, and his biggest expense was a €90,000 car purchase.
Over the past few years, ropz has been one of the best players worldwide, which is confirmed by the fact that he made it to HLTV.org's top 20 players yearly ranking five times. At the team level, the Estonian had his greatest success last year, winning a number of big tournaments, including PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
