Saudi Arabia to host $1 million tournament

From August 14 to 20, Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, will host a CS:GO tournament with a $1 million prize pool, which will take place within the Gamers8 big esports festival, as its organizers announced via their social media accounts.

The press release states that 12 elite teams will compete at the tournament. Other details are currently unknown.

Alongside announced CS:GO event, a Dota 2 tournament with $15 million in prize money called Riyadh Masters 2023 will be part of the Gamers8 festival.

The championship in Saudi Arabia partially overlaps with the previously announced dates for 2023 ESL tournaments, where ESL Pro League Season 18 is scheduled from August 15 to January 24.
