1,355,797 users – CS:GO’s new player count record

Today, February 26, CS:GO’s peak player count record has been beaten the fourth time in a month as the SteamDB service recorded 1,355,797 concurrent players on the servers of Valve’s shooter.

On February 11, the player count peaked at 1,320,219, which was the best result since 2020. A week later, a new record of 1,323,706 players was set, while yesterday the number increased to 1,349,390 people.

Despite the constant growth of peak players, the average monthly player count of 857,604 set in April 2020 remains unbeatable. As of this month, the number of concurrent players averages at about 800,000.

Yesterday, February 25, the CS:GO developers commented on the game’s increased popularity. The post on the Valve’s official Twitter account said that the secret lies in the simple-to-understand gameplay, which also provides an unlimited potential for the improvement of a player's skills.
