Liquid, NAVI, G2, FaZe, Vitality and OG start IEM Katowice 2023 group stage with victories
The first six matches of the IEM Katowice 2023 group stage have now been played, with Liquid, NAVI, G2, FaZe, Vitality and OG all emerging victorious to begin their tournament runs on a high note.
Group A saw four matches take place, in which Liquid got the better of IHC (16:13 on Inferno and 16:6 on Overpass), NAVI defeated Cloud9 (16:13 on Ancient and 16:6 on Inferno), G2 bested BIG (16:12 on Anubis and 16:8 on Inferno), and FaZe confirmed their status as favorites in the confrontation against Team Spirit (16:5 on Ancient and 16:12 on Nuke).
Two matches played out in Group B, where Vitality beat NIP (16:10 on Mirage and 16:9 on Inferno) and OG came out on top of MOUZ (9:16 on Inferno, 16:13 on Overpass and 22:19 on Mirage).
The winners of all the aforementioned encounters will continue to fight in the upper brackets of their respective groups. In turn, the losing teams await elimination matches.

IEM Katowice 2023 will continue on February 5 with six meetings split into three time slots. The matchday will begin at 14:30 MSK with the Heroic – Complexity and Outsiders – fnatic matchups, continue at 18:00 MSK with the BIG – Team Spirit and G2 – FaZe games, and conclude at 21:30 MSK with the Cloud9 – IHC and NAVI – Liquid bouts.
