Report: FaZe looking to use k0nfig at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023

FaZe intend to participate in BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 with a stand-in in Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who will temporarily replace Håvard "rain" Nygaard, who entered inactivity, Dust2.us reports.

FaZe's intention to submit k0nfig as a member of their roster for the tournament has been met with resistance from the organizers and several teams, as the Danish player is already registered as a substitute in Heroic. Discussions are ongoing within BLAST about whether or not to allow the change to the roster after the deadline, which would be a violation of regulations.

Initially, FaZe submitted Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer as their sub for the event, but the use of the Swede as a reserve player is complicated by his lack of recent practice. The legendary esports athlete has not taken part in official matches for over a year.

FaZe must now decide on their stand-in before tomorrow, January 20, when they play their first match at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023. The team's opponents will be Complexity, the match against whom is scheduled to kick off at 14:00 MSK.
