Rumors: former 9z coach to take charge of Imperial

Coach Rafael "zakk" Fernandes, who recently left 9z and became a free agent, will continue his career with Imperial, GameArena reports.

zakk and Imperial are currently in the final stages of negotiations. It is expected that the announcement of the coach will take place shortly.

zakk has been with 9z since 2020. During this time, he helped the team establish themselves as one of the strongest representatives of the South American region and, among other things, make it to the last two Majors.

Imperial's previous coach was Lincoln "fnx" Lau, who was in charge of the roster through the second half of 2022. He has already announced that he will not work for the organization and intends to return to a player career.

The signing of a new coach will most likely not be the only change that will happen in Imperial during the ongoing off-season. Earlier, Dust2 Brasil reported the acquisition of Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian from MIBR in place of veteran Fernando "fer" Alvarenga.

If the rumors about the changes in Imperial are officially confirmed, the team will look as follows:

 Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
 Ricardo "boltz" Prass
 Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
 Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
 Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian

 Rafael "zakk" Fernandes (coach)
