Bubzkji has no intention of returning to player career in 2023
Danish esports athlete Lucas "Bubzkji" Andresen does not intend to return to the CS:GO pro scene as a player for at least the next year. He announced via Twitter that in 2023 he will continue to work as a broadcast analyst for big tournaments on Danish television.
I've decided to renew my deal with TV2 for 2023. It's been such an learningful year, and i've enjoyed it. Obv this means that "pro play" is further away than ever, which im fully aware of. I didn't search for opportunities this year. I'll still be on-sight at events in 2023.
For those who don't know, TV2 is basicly just the rights owner of ESL + BLAST in Denmark. So we just transmit CS:GO like normal organizers, but in Danish.
Bubzkji rose to prominence in the CS:GO pro scene in 2020, when he was the leader of MAD Lions and won the first season of the Flashpoint Major League. Subsequently, he joined Astralis as a sixth player, where, due to Valve's restriction on the use of substitutes, he only occasionally showed up in the main squad. The Dane parted ways with the club in early 2022, after which he began working on television.
