Report: G2 target kassad as new head coach

G2 are exploring the possibility of signing coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović, who is best known for his time working with MOUZ, Renegades and 100 Thieves, Jaxon.gg has learned, citing sources familiar with the situation.

According to journalists, interest for kassad came from G2's side. Besides Trifunović, the European club, however, is also looking into other candidates, such as former CR4ZY coach and analyst Luka "emi" Vuković.

The information about the possible appointment of kassad to the position of G2 head coach follows shortly after the departure of Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam. The French specialist departed the team after nine months of work, during which the best result was a second-place finish at IEM Katowice 2022.

It was not long ago when G2 announced the change in their CS:GO division management, as a result of which Petar "peca" Marković was promoted to the General Manager position. Jaxon.gg's report notes that it was after the appointment of the Serb that the club actively began searching for a new coach.

G2's next matches will take place at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022. The big LAN tournament will run from November 23 to 27 in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
