Vitality back on top of HLTV.org's ranking

Vitality have overtaken FaZe to top HLTV.org's ranking of the strongest teams in the world. Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's squad returned to the number one spot two weeks after giving it away to FaZe.

The aforementioned change was the only one within the top 5, with a bunch of changes happening outside the top 5 based on the results of the ongoing IEM Rio Major 2022.

Outsiders, MOUZ, FURIA, ENCE, Team Spirit, BIG and fnatic cemented their positions, while Bad News Eagles (+6), 9z (+5) and Sprout (+4) had the biggest progress.

Compared to last week, regression concerned either those teams that were eliminated from the Major or those that did not take part in it. Separately worth noting Heroic's drop to tenth place, however, the rating of the Danes, who continue to fight for a place in the playoffs of the Major, was affected by the rise of other teams and decay in points for previous tournaments.

The HLTV.org's ranking is updated weekly and primarily takes into account the results for the last two months. The team's achievements over the past year are also considered, while the number of points for past success decreases every month.
