woxic leaves Eternal Fire on his own initiative

Eternal Fire have announced on their official website the benching of Özgür "woxic" Eker. The Turkish AWPer left the squad on his own initiative.

The press release notes that Eker has asked the club for permission to explore other career opportunities. The management approved the request of the player.

woxic explained on Twitter that the decision on departure was made amid many problems inside of the team. According to the sniper, he intends to continue his career in an international team.

woxic played for Eternal Fire in the summer of 2021 when he teamed up with Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş and other players to create a new Turkish roster. Subsequently, the team took part mainly in tier 2 events and was unable to achieve any significant results.

woxic's departure was the third lineup change for Eternal Fire in the past month. Earlier, Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli and Ahmet "paz" Karahoca, as well as coach Canpolat "hardstyle" Yıldıran also left the team.

There are now three active players in the Eternal Fire roster. The Turks need to complete their lineup before the beginning of the ESL Challenger League Season 43 Europe playoffs kicking off on November 9.

 Eternal Fire's current lineup is:

 Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş
 Ömer "imoRR" Karataş
 Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç

 Özgür "woxic" Eker (benched)
 Ahmet "paz" Karahoca (inactive)
