Astralis bench coach; announce rebuilding phase

Astralis have announced on their official website that they will be rebuilding the team amid insufficient results. The club's first step was to part ways with coach Martin "trace" Heldt, who was benched.

trace began working with the Astralis roster in March of this year as a temporary replacement for Alexander "ave" Holdt, becoming a full-time skipper a few months later. Under the leadership of the Dane, the team's best result was a 3-4th place finish at IEM Cologne 2022.

Astralis' press notes that in the coming months, the club's management will be working on "building a strengthened organization with new expertise around the team". During this period, Astralis Talent coach Peter "castle" Ardenskjold will take over the team.

The Danish club emphasized that the reason for the changes was the team's poor results recently and, in particular, an exit from the qualifier for IEM Rio Major 2022. The organization stated that the coach's benching would not be the only change to be made.

Astralis' next tournament will be BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022, where they will compete with stand-in Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen, who will replace Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who departed the team earlier. From October 19 to 23, the Danes will be performing in the European division also featuring Vitality, Heroic, BIG, TYLOO, ECSTATIC, Sangal and Eternal Fire, all of whom will battle out the only ticket to BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022.

 Astralis's current lineup now is:

 Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander
 Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth
 Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
 Asger "Farlig" Jensen

 Peter "castle" Ardenskjold (coach)
