G2, Astralis and Eternal Fire eliminated from Europe RMR

G2, Astralis and Eternal Fire lost their chances of making IEM Rio Major 2022. The teams suffered three defeats at IEM Road to Rio 2022 Europe RMR A and ended their qualifier run.

In the fourth round of the European RMR event, G2 lost to GamerLegion (16:3 on Vertigo, 4:16 on Mirage and 12:16 on Inferno), Astralis fell to forZe (14:16 on Mirage and Nuke), while the Turkish squad was eliminated after being defeated by fnatic (10:16 on Vertigo and 11:16 on Overpass). The winners of these matches now move to the 2-2 pool.

Tomorrow, October 7, three encounters for a spot at the Major will kick off at 19:00 MSK. The pairings look as follows: 1WIN – fnatic, Bad News Eagles – forZe, B8 – GamerLegion.
