Patsi on Team Spirit's Major goals: "Of course we will try to go for the stage again"

Team Spirit's Robert "Patsi" Isyanov spoke about his team's goals for IEM Rio Major 2022 in an interview with the organizers of the European RMR tournament. According to the Russian, he and his teammates will try to make the playoffs of the Valve-sponsored event for the second time in a row.

The interview with Patsi took place after Team Spirit's victory over Cloud9 in the RMR's additional match for the best seed at the Major. The esports athlete noted that prior to the qualifier, the CIS squad did not expect to get straight into the Legends Stage.

It was an amazing match, huge emotions. Of course we didn't expect that we will get to the Legends from the RMR. Of course we want to do it, but the minimum result was the Contenders like it was before. It's our first tournaments with w0nderful. We have already played IEM Cologne 2022 and ESL Pro League Season 16, but it's not enough anyway for a new roster because it's a very young roster and we need more LAN experience.

That game was incredible because Vertigo is one of the hardest maps versus Cloud9, and they have very good Vertigo. So we won it and after it was our pick, Dust2. Something went wrong and we lost. We will fix our mistakes and try to be better with this map. After, it was Ancient, close Ancient, a lot of clutches, a lot of hard rounds. It was unreal to win this map.

At the completed IEM Road to Rio 2022 Europe RMR A, Team Spirit lost only to Sprout in the second round. Besides the aforementioned Cloud9 match, the team took over 1WIN, GamerLegion and Bad News Eagles.
