juanflatroo: "Bad News Eagles are trying to transition into a tier 1 team"

Bad News Eagles' Flatron "juanflatroo" Halimi gave an interview to HLTV.org after his team made it to IEM Rio Major 2022. The esports athlete believes that, together with his teammates, he is gradually approaching his goal, which is the transition of BNE into a tier 1 roster.

According to Halimi, two consecutive qualifications for a Major show that the success of the Kosovan squad is not an accident.

If you make it one time, you can call it lucky, but if you make it the second time and you make it convincing enough, that's not lucky anymore. We're showing some effort, we're showing that we are actually growing as a team, getting used to a tier 2-tier 1 scene. Bad News Eagles are trying to transition into a tier 1 team, definitely. We're putting in a lot of work. We know there's a lot of work to be put in, but day by day it's really getting better. We're watching a lot of demos, we're practicing off and on the server. I think there's a bright future for us.

juanflatroo also clarified that despite the earlier announcement about the creation of their own organization, Bad News Eagles are willing to consider offers from various clubs.

It's been a crazy couple of years for us, not having a backup and everyone doing a little bit of work, managerial stuff and everything, trying to help each other. Moving forward, a lot of practice, a lot of off-work hours, a lot of effort. Seeing it pay off in the end is just amazing; there's no better feeling than this.

We're not exactly an org. I think people misunderstood it because we just let people know that we're accepting sponsorships, but we're not turning it into an organization. We're still accepting offers from the orgs, but until we find the real deal that we want, we're just gonna keep going like this.

Bad News Eagles qualified for IEM Rio Major 2022 after victories over Eternal Fire, Astralis and forZe at the European RMR tournament.

As juanflatroo mentioned above, the upcoming Major will be the second in Bad News Eagles' history. Six months ago, at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, the Kosovars finished in 15-16th place.
