WePlay Academy League Season 6 announced with two new participants

WePlay has announced on its official website the sixth season of its Academy League, which is set to be held on November 10-20 boasting a prize pool of $100,000.

Compared to last season, the list of participating teams included MIBR Academy and Copenhagen Flames' youth team called Flames Ascent. In turn, Eternal Fire Academy and GODSENT's academy team, which was disbanded in July, lost their slots in the tournament.

The event's format remained unchanged. The squads will start the competition from the group stage, which will feature a round robin best-of-one system. The winners of the two groups will advance directly to the playoffs, while those placed second to third will battle out two more playoff spots through the Gauntlet stage.

The team list for WePlay Academy League Season 6 is:

 NAVI Junior
 Astralis Talent
 Young Ninjas
 MOUZ NXT
 fnatic Rising
 BIG Academy
 FURIA Academy
 Team Spirit Academy
 PROSPECTS

 OG Academy
 ENCE Academy
 MIBR Academy

The victories in four of the five previous seasons of the Academy League were secured by MOUZ NXT. The champion of the fifth season, which ended in mid-August, was fnatic Rising.
