G2 close in on top 5 of HLTV.org's ranking after winning their group at EPL S16

Following another weekly update of HLTV.org's ranking of the best teams in the world, G2 gained three spots to now sit at fifth. This was the most significant change among the leading teams and was made possible after the European squad's success in Group B at ESL Pro League Season 16.

The top ten also saw Vitality and Astralis swap places to now occupy fourth and fifth spots, respectively. At the same time, the position of NIP and OG in the top 10 has worsened.

In the middle of the ranking, Heroic lost two spots, while BIG and Team Spirit moved up one position each. The changes also happened in the second half of the top 30, which now does not feature Endpoint, HEET and Eternal Fire but 1WIN, Complexity and Wings Up.

The HLTV.org's ranking is updated weekly and primarily takes into account the results for the last two months. The team's achievements over the past year are also considered, while the number of points for past success decreases every month.
