Stewie2K intends to move from CS:GO to Valorant in 2023

Former Evil Geniuses player Jake "Stewie2K" Yip, who recently took a break from his professional CS:GO career and became a streamer, intends to move to Valorant. During a broadcast on his Twitch channel, the American said that he expects to start competing in Riot's shooter as early as next year.

Every day I’ll be on stream. I’ll be grinding ranked. I’ll be trying to get into scrims. LCQ happens, [then] Champions will happen. Off-season comes, franchising comes. Even if I miss franchising, I’m going to keep streaming, watch and be a student of the game and then get picked up. We’ll try. We’ll see how everything pans out.

Stewie2K is one of the most famous esports athletes in the North American region. Among his main achievements are victories at ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018 with Cloud9 and in the third season of the prestigious Intel Grand Slam award with Liquid.

Yip went inactive after an unsuccessful first half of the current year, where under his leadership Evil Geniuses could not make it to any big tournament. Only thanks to the ESL partner team status, the squad was able to take part in the fifteenth season of the ESL Pro League, finishing in last place.
