"That's beyond my power." zews announces his retirement from coaching

Coach Wilton "zews" Prado has ruled out the possibility of returning to the CS:GO professional scene as a coach. He spoke about in an interview with Dust2.com.br.

According to the specialist, the main reason for stepping away from coaching is a heart attack he had in April of this year.

I would be lying if I said I don't miss the players, because they are my brothers. But I don't want to return due to a heart attack. In esports, we have a very busy life. We were on the road for six years, we didn't stop by our homes, we didn't eat well and worked. I miss it, but that's beyond my power.

zews added that he is currently working on several side projects, including a first-person shooter software company and a marketing agency. At the same time, in the future, the Brazilian intends to create his own esports organization.

zews achieved the biggest success during his times working with the Luminosity/SK roster. Under the guidance of the specialist, the Brazilian team won many tier-1 tournaments, including two Majors – MLG Columbus 2016 and ESL One Cologne 2016.

Prado's last team was Evil Geniuses, which he coached from April 2020 to June 2021. Together with the skipper, the North American squad won several big regional events, which resulted in them topping the HLTV.org ranking for one week in the fall of 2020.
