Former CPH Flames coach: "We offered up the entire lineup all the way down to €160k"
Former coach and co-owner of Copenhagen Flames Daniel Vorborg has revealed the buyout fee of the recently disbanded Danish lineup. According to him, all five players would cost a potential buyer €160,000, yet this did not attract interest from other clubs.
People saying they can't believe noone bought the previous Flames roster for $500k, as it was such a steal. We offered up the entire lineup all the way down to €160k without any takers. Luckily we are slowly seeing everyone landing in good teams
The rumors about the sale of the Copenhagen Flames roster first appeared at the end of last year following the Danes' successful run at PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Back then, Complexity were interested in the purchase, but for unknown reasons, the deal did not take place.
The CHP Flames roster disbanded shortly after PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where they made it as far as the playoffs. Having managed to sell Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi and Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen to fnatic, the organization put the rest of the players on the transfer list and soon sold Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard to Heroic.
