ESIC lifts temporary suspension of 9z coach
The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has allowed 9z coach Rafael "zakk" Fernandez to take part in tournaments despite the ongoing investigation into the coaching bug abuse, head of the Commission, Ian Smith, announced in a statement to Dexerto.
ESIC decided to lift the suspension that did not let zakk show up at PGL Major Antwerp 2022 after receiving additional information on his bug use case. According to experts, currently, 9z coach does not pose a threat to the integrity of the competition.
Smith stressed that zakk's case is still pending, with a final verdict set to be publicly announced in the near future.
Shorty before PGL Major Antwerp 2022, besides Fernandez, ESIC also accused Team Spirit coach Sergey "hally" Shavaev and Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu, who is now working with Imperial. The latter was fully acquitted following consideration of some evidence of innocence.
