Evil Geniuses announce valens as director of their CS:GO division

Evil Geniuses have announced that Soham "valens" Chowdhury has been appointed as Director of Athletics for Counter-Strike. His duties include the development of the recently announced 15-man project.

valens steps into the new position following 2.5 years of working for Evil Geniuses. Since 2019, the American has been heading the data science department of the North American club, while also coaching little-known teams from his region.

Now, Chowdhury is in charge of the Evil Geniuses main roster with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip IGLing, as well as the recently bought out Party Astronauts and Carpe Diem lineups. As planned by the club, by next year, all the rosters will unite into one 15-man team, within which there will be rotations.

valens is best known on the professional scene as a Cloud9 coach. Under his guidance, the team won several big tournaments, the most prestigious of which was ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018.
