CPH Flames ex-coach: "The salaries of nicoodoz and roeJ have increased fivefold moving to fnatic"

After joining fnatic, former Copenhagen Flames players Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi and Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen have seen their salaries increased fivefold. The former coach and co-owner of the Danish club Daniel Vorborg, who also recently left the organization, shared this information in an interview with caster Neo "Ne0kai" Caine.

According to the specialist, CPH Flames had a chance to keep the roster, but in this case, all five players needed a significant salary increase.

A lot of money was needed to keep the roster together. The salaries of the guys like nicoodoz and roeJ have increased fivefold moving to fnatic. On top of that, fnatic also have an ESL Pro League spot, which was a big thing for the players as well. That was the biggest reason why they wanted to go to Complexity, as they had both EPL and BLAST spots.

During the interview, Vorborg noted that all the players knew about the disbandment of the Copenhagen Flames roster prior to PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where the team finished 5-8th. He added that the previously announced return of the club to the professional CS:GO scene will take place no earlier than the second half of this year.

As of now, three members of the roster still have valid contracts with CPH Flames: Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss. All of them have been put on the transfer list.
