Astralis Director of Sports: "If the roster does not grow, we will consider replacements"

Astralis Director of Sports Kasper Hvidt admitted the possibility of changing the lineup of the team. In an interview to Dust2.dk, he said that this will happen if the current roster does not progress.

The head emphasized that currently no Astralis player is on the verge of leaving the team.

We are looking at the current roster and whether it has the ability to progress. A contract is not a paper that can simply be torn apart. By signing it, people have planned their lives. Of course, we are constantly assessing the situation on the market. If the roster does not grow, we will consider replacements. valde? He's definitely a smart player.

Now none of the members of our team is on the verge of exclusion. There are those who perform better, and those who do worse. I'm glad they all work very hard.

Hvidt also commented on the prospects of Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, who is statistically the worst player of Astralis.

Andreas has never been the one with the highest stats. Having won many titles, he has never been awarded an MVP title because of his role in the team. Neither we nor Xyp9x are happy with the current state of affairs, but this is a hardworking player that the club treats with respect.

The club's Director of Sports added that he was not concerned about Astralis being inferior to Heroic and Copenhagen Flames among the strongest teams in Denmark.

Of course we want to get rid of the status of Denmark's third team, but I also want to say that the national rankings have never bothered me. Our ambitions are more focused on the world rankings. I don't sit and think: "Damn, two Danish squads play better than we do.

Hvidt's mentioned-above quotes were included in the second part of his interview to Dust2.dk. In the first part, he, among other things, summed up the performance of Astralis at the Major, calling it unsatisfactory.
