chopper on successful Major run: "I don't think we'll have some kind of unfounded confidence"

Team Spirit's in-game leader Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov commented on his team's successful start in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Legends Stage, where after two rounds played the squad goes undefeated. According to him, the roster took the victories over more experienced opponents calmly and realizes that it will be much harder to win best-of-three promotion matches.

To be honest, even now we don’t have the feeling that the wins come easy. It was just best-of-ones, and all the top 10 teams in the world have six strong maps in their pool, so it will be a completely different game in a best-of-three format. These matches have given us experience and an understanding of what we can do, but I don't think we'll have some kind of unfounded confidence. In fact, we are the youngest team and came here for the experience. We just try to show what we did at practices.

Vishnyakov added that the Team Spirit management currently does not demand high results from the roster. The current goals of the team are only to improve its level of play.

Earlier today, Team Spirit kicked off the Legends Stage with victories over FURIA and Heroic. The opponents of the Russian team in the confrontation for the ticket to the Major's playoffs will be determined following all matches of the second round.
