Virtus.pro part ways with their General Manager Sergey Glamazda

Sergey Glamazda has left the post of General Manager of Virtus.pro, as reported on the Russian organization’s official website.

The press release does not disclose the specific reasons for parting with Glamazda. At the same time, it was noted that this decision will be followed by the abolition of the General Manager position, while the management of Virtus.pro will be taken over by a team of top managers from the ESforce holding, the parent company of the esports club.

ESforce Holding CEO Nikolai Petrossian commented on the announcement:

We are thankful to Sergey for everything he’s done for Virtus.pro, his fresh ideas and ways to implement them. During a joint discussion we came to the realization that the new challenges that arose this spring call for the need of reorganizing and systematizing the workflow in Virtus.pro. That led us to the decision to rely on a team of top managers from ESforce that see the big picture and can run the club.

While general management of the club will be handled by ESforce, each particular gaming discipline will be run by senior managers of Virtus.pro with big experience and knowledge of their given games. This way we elevate the level of responsibility and preserve high engagement and attention to details wherever it’s necessary. We expect this reorganization to result in new victories by Virtus.pro.

Glamazda has been heading Virtus.pro since January 2020. Under his leadership, the CS:GO roster underwent a number of changes, becoming one of the ten strongest teams in the world.
