trace becomes Astralis full-time coach

The Danish organization has officially announced the appointment of Martin "trace" Heldt as the team's permanent coach. Previously, the specialist temporarily coached the Danish squad, replacing Alexander "ave" Holdt.

At the beginning of March, ave was replaced by trace because of the ban from Valve, which did not allow him to work at Majors and RMR tournaments. Two months later, he parted ways with the club, beginning the search for options to continue his career. The Danish organization separately noted that Holdt refused the place offered to him in the club's structure.

In their press release, Astralis also announced that the coaching position in the academy team, which was previously occupied by trace, was taken by the once-famous esports athlete Andreas "MODDII" Fridh. This will be the first coaching experience in the eminent Swede's career.

The closest tournament in Astralis' calendar will be PGL Major Antwerp 2022, which is set to be held from May 9 to 22 in Antwerp, Belgium. The team will start the event from the Legends Stage.
