Dexerto: YEKINDAR is considering leaving Virtus.pro after PGL Major Antwerp 2022

Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis from Virtus.pro is considering the possible parting with his current team after PGL Major Antwerp 2022, Dexerto reports, citing its own sources.

According to journalists, Virtus.pro will not stand in the way of the player's decision to depart. The club is ready for negotiations on the transfer of the Latvian esports athlete.

The news about the possible departure of YEKINDAR appeared during the ongoing ban of the organization from all big tournaments, which was handed due to the club's ties to the Russian government amid hostilities in Ukraine. This led to uncertainties about the roster's future, which the General Manager of the club has already opened up about.

Earlier, Gambit, who together with Virtus.pro was subjected to the sanctions by the tournament organizers, parted ways with their lineup. The Russian roster was bought out by ULTI Agency, which later sold the players to Cloud9.

The upcoming Major, following which YEKINDAR is expected to decide on his future, will take place from May 9 to 22 in Antwerp, Belgium. The Virtus.pro roster will play at the event under the Outsiders banner, which is allowed under the ban on representing their organization.
