LookingForOrg start fund raising to take part in qualifier for RMR event in Dubai

Australian team LookingForOrg has announced a fundraiser for their trip to Dubai, from where they will be able to take part in the open qualifier for the Asian RMR event, according to the team’s Twitter.

Based on the press release, the roster received permission by PGL to compete in the Middle East open qualifier, which will take place on February 26-27. The trip to Dubai is necessary to minimize the ping problems and have time to return to Europe in time for ESL Pro League Season 15 scheduled for March 9.

If the Australians flew from Europe to their home region and competed in the Pacific qualifier on March 5-6, they would have to withdraw from the prestigious league. The players noted that they do not consider returning to Australia due to the strict quarantine restrictions and the high price that the roster cannot afford to pay without the support of an organization.

For the trip to Dubai, LookingForOrg needs 6,500 Australian dollars. At the time of publication of the material, they managed to raise 915 dollars, 500 of which was donated by former Australian player Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill, who now works as a caster and analyst.

Earlier, in addition to LookingForOrg, the Chinese team Lynn Vision had reported on the problems with returning to their region to participate in the qualifying events for PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
