Stewie2K parts ways with Liquid

Liquid have announced the departure of Jake "Stewie2K" Yip. The news was published on the club's Twitter.

Yip has played for Liquid since the end of 2018. During this time, he helped the team become the champions of many tier-1 tournaments and win the second season of the prestigious Intel Grand Slam.

In 2021, the North American team did not manage to achieve any success at big tournaments and, at the end of the year, decided to rebuild the roster. Along with Stewie2K, the team also parted with Michael "Grim" Wince and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, who were replaced by Josh "oSee" Ohm, Richard "shox" Papillon and Nick "nitr0" Cannella.

Stewie2K is now set to continue his career in Evil Geniuses. Earlier, the CEO of the organization, Nicole Jameson, confirmed the information reported by insiders and said that the official announcement would be made within the current week.

Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte, Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, Timothy "autimatic" Ta and William "RUSH" Wierzba will be the new teammates of Yip. The renewed Evil Geniuses roster will debut at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022, which will be held from January 28 to February 6.
