Vitality owner: zonic knows he has two years to win the Major

Vitality’s founder and owner Fabien "Neo" Devide in an interview to HLTV.org stated that the goal of the recently renewed CS:GO roster is to win a few Majors. According to him, the squad has two years to achieve the set goal, which coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen has already been informed about.

zonic will have control. The trust I put in XTQZZZ, I don't regret any of our decisions and what we've done. It will be the same with zonic, of course he needs to report to me, and we have to make decisions together. He knows from the beginning, I'm crystal clear on this. zonic — you have two years to win a Major, but the biggest difference with this team is that if we win a Major I want to make sure we have a proper shot to win several Majors. That is actually what I expect with this team, that is why we are going with proven winners, that kind of profile. They know how to handle the pressure of being a favorite.

The current Vitality lineup will not be successful overnight, Devide noted. At the same time, he believes that even despite the possible difficulties in the first months, the potential of the international roster is much higher than that of the Vitality 2021 edition.

The first six months will be super tough, I don't expect us to be contenders for the first six months, to be honest. If it happens, I will be super happy and the process will be shorter compared to my expectations.

But at the same time, I expect the team, when they find their groove, we have a great synergy, zonic's and our coaching staff's methods are implemented...When that happens I'm pretty sure our ceiling will be 2-3 times higher than what we had in 2021. And also, we have a full cycle of two years where we can project ourselves with stability, same lineup, clear objectives, and clear goals.

The new Vitality roster was announced on January 5. Former Astralis players Emil "Magisk" Reif and Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen joined Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, Kevin "misutaaa" Rabier and Dan "apEX" Madesclair, who stayed in the team.
