THREAT to step down as NIP coach after IEM Winter 2021

Björn "THREAT" Pers, a coach of NIP, has tweeted that he will no longer coach the Ninjas following IEM Winter 2021. The 33-year-old specialist will take over as a technical director of the entire club's CS:GO division.

Pers explained that his new role will be to help the team off-server, where he will focus on strategy development with analyst Danny "mahone" Hsieh. The new coach will, among other things, be responsible for the players' morale during the matches.

In two seasons with THREAT, who became a coach in early 2020, the team's main achievement was the trophy of the European RMR tournament IEM Fall 2021. For several weeks after this victory, the roster held a record second place in the HLTV.org rankings.

The last tournament for Pers as a coach of NIP will take place from December 2 to 12 in Stockholm, where sixteen teams will compete in a studio format without audience. The participants of IEM Winter 2021 will contest a total prize pool of $250,000.
