gla1ve to replace Bubzkji in Astralis at PGL Major Stockholm 2021

Astralis on their official website has announced the players that will represent the team at PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Instead of Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, who has played the entire series of the RMR tournaments, the place in the starting five will be taken by in-game leader Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, who had to miss the last events for personal reasons.

Rossander had to take a break from competing due to his girlfriend’s pregnancy. Without him in the roster, the team qualified for the final tournament of the BLAST Premier 2021 autumn season and finished 4th at IEM Fall 2021, thus securing enough points to get a spot in the upcoming major.

Commenting on the exclusion from the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 application, Bubzkji expressed regret that he would not be able to play at the prestigious championship in front of the home audience.

I am devastated to be left out, after being there to qualify. Losing out on my first major and not being able to play in front of a "home" crowd hurts. But sadly there's only 5 spots. I felt things individually was moving in the right direction towards the end.

I will be on the side-line with the Astralis squad for the time being, where I will support the players the best I can. Both from inside and outside the server. I don't blame any of them We worked hard to get to there, so let's hope we can get a great result at the Major.

Let us recall that the Major will be held from October 26 to November 7 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Astralis will start the competition from the Challengers stage.
