PGL Major Stockholm 2021 schedule revealed

The organizers of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 have published the tournament’s schedule. The prestigious championship will take place from October 26 to November 7 and will be divided into three stages, each of which will last four days: Challengers Stage - October 26-29, Legends Stage - October 30 - November 2, and Champions Stage - November 4-7.

The Challengers and Legends Stages will be played using a Swiss system with 16 teams competing for 8 slots in the next stage of the tournament. All qualifying and elimination matches will be played in a best-of-three format, while the rest of the encounters will be held in a best-of-one format.

The Champions Stage features a Single Elimination playoff bracket with best-of-three matches. The decisive stage of the tournament, unlike the two previous ones, will take place in front of a live audience at the Avicii Arena that accommodates 15,000 people.

At the moment, 16 participants of the upcoming major have been confirmed: FURIA, Liquid, Heroic, Vitality, Astralis, NIP, G2, NAVI, Gambit, Team Spirit, Virtus.pro, Entropiq, Renegades and Sharks. Liquid, NAVI and Gambit have a guaranteed Legends status. Eight remaining participants of the Valve’s event will be determined following the ongoing RMR events for Europe, North America and Asia.
