ESIC banned two ex-players from Rebirth for match-fixing at ESEA MDL

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has handed five-year bans to Sebastian "retchy" Tropiano and Kevin "4pack" Przypasniak, two former Rebirth players. According to the official website of the commission, the players have been banned for taking part in the match-fixing at ESL MDL for North America

This year in April, after a recording of a conversation about throwing two matches, the North American duo have been suspended from ESEA. Along with retchy and 4pack, Alex "vek" Voynov, David "J0LZ" Jolin, and Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly we're also suspected, but ESIC found no strong evidence of their involvement in the fraud.

A long-term suspension of the two does not imply the end of the match-fixing proceedings at ESEA MDL for North America, the Commission stated in a press release. ESIC is currently investigating another 34 similar cases.

Along with the verdict in the retchy and 4pack case, ESIC has updated the status of the investigation into the conflict between Heroic and a former team coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen. Earlier, the Danish club accused the specialist of providing confidential information about the tactics of the squad to third parties. It is expected that the decision on this case will be published on August 25 at 11:00 MSK.
