FunPlus Phoenix parts ways with chrisJ, adds suNny as a stand-in
FunPlus Phoenix announced on Twitter that mousesports player Chris "chrisJ" de Jong's lease is over. The 30-year-old Dutchman has been replaced by Miikka "suNny" Kemppi, who will serve as a stand-in.

And please welcome suNny to stand-in and fight with us for the ESL Pro League Season 13! Boys, we've got some incredible battles ahead, let's go Phoenix?

The club was unable to reach an agreement with de Jong on the terms of a permanent contract, according to FunPlus Phoenix's general manager Petar Markovic. The experienced eSports athlete spent just over a month at FPX and helped the team finish second at the DreamHack Open January 2021 and win Snow Sweet Snow #1.
I hate farewells.

Unfortunately, we could not make a mutual agreement with @chrisJcsgo that works for both parties on time, and that's why we have decided to try out another player.
We at @FPX_Esports would like to thank Chris, and wish him best of luck in his future endeavors!
SuNny's last team was ENCE, which he left in mid-January of this year after his contract expired. Notably, the Finnish player could have joined the current FunPlus Phoenix roster last year, but, according to insider Jarek "DeKay" Lewis, declined the move.
The debut tournament for the renewed roster of the Chinese organization will be ESL Pro League Season 13, which will be held from March 8 to April 11.
