DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 announced

DreamHack announced the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020, which will run online from November 30 to December 6. It will be split amongst four regions: Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania. The total prize fund will be $250,000.

The first participants of the event are Astralis, G2, NAVI and Complexity, who received direct invitations. A total of sixteen teams will perform in the European part of the event, twelve of which will be invited directly, and four more will advance through qualifiers. The group stage will take place in the format of Double Elimination followed by play-offs Single Elimination.

In North America, Evil Geniuses and Liquid will be joined by four teams, which will be added by two winners of the qualifiers. Due to the small number of participants, the group stage will be held in the GSL-format, followed by the Single Elimination playoffs, as well as in Europe.

The participants of the tournament in Asia and Oceania are still unknown.

DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 will be the final Masters tournament in the ESL Pro Tour, where points will be awarded for IEM Katowice 2021.
