NAVI, ENCE & Evil Geniuses are out of the legends after ESL One: Road to Rio

Following the results of the first rating tournament, which became ESL One: Road to Rio, potential participants of the next major were determined. Natus Vincere, ENCE and Evil Geniuses, who began a series of qualifiers in the status of "legends", did not go further than the group stage and at the moment qualify for participation only in the preliminary stage of ESL One Rio 2020.

According to the current Regional Major Rankings, the results of which will be formed by the results of three championships, the "legends" include Astralis, G2, Vitality, Liquid, 100 Thieves, Gen. G, Virtus.pro and Hard Legion, while the New Challengers Stage includes FaZe, ENCE, NiP, Heretics, GODSENT, North, Copenhagen Flames, mousesports, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, Team Spirit, Winstrike, Natus Vincere, BOOM, TIGER and Renegades. It is noteworthy that some of the StarLadder Major 2019 finalists have lost some points due to changes in their line-up.

The next rating tournament will be held in summer, the last one - in autumn. The value of the event will increase as we approach the ESL One Rio 2020 as Valve wants to better reward teams that are in good shape in the run-up to the major itself.
