Natus Vincere star player Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev tweeted that ESL Pro League is definitely better than all other professional leagues in CS:GO, so he doesn't understand the criticism towards the organizers, which arises against the background of competition with Flashpoint. However, he noted that the new championship from B Site Inc. is difficult to compete with ESL because of unforeseen circumstances, and in the future things can change.

The debut season of Flashpoint league is parallel to ESL Pro League S11. The organizers of both tournaments had to switch to the online format because of the coronavirus pandemic.
