CS:GO reached its player peak since launch
Peak online in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive reached 874,875 players - the highest level in the history of the game. The data was provided by the analytical service Steam Charts.
The previous record was set in April 2016, when 850,485 people simultaneously played Valve's shooter. Over the past six months, the permanent CS:GO audience has been steadily growing, and at the end of January the average number of players crossed the mark of half a million.

The official release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive took place on August 21, 2012. On the 7th of December, 2018 the game was made free and added a new competitive mode called "Forbidden Zone". On November 19, 2019, Operation Shattered Web was launched and will run for sixteen weeks.
