Former Windigo player Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov tweeted that the organizers of World Electronic Sports Games still have not paid the prize money of $500 thousand to his team, which became the champion of the season 2018-2019. More than ten months have passed since the end of the tournament.

World Electronic Sports Games championships have been held since 2016. Each of the first two CS:GO tournaments in the series had a record prize pool of $1,500,000 for the discipline, while the following season it has been reduced to $890,000. At WESG 2018-2019 World Finals Grand Finals, Windigo defeated AGO to win half a million dollars for first place.
