WESG 2019-2020 spots distribution revealed

The organizers of World Electronic Sports Games presented the distribution of slots between regions for the next Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. The championship will take place in March 2020 in the Chinese city of Chongqing, where 24 teams from all over the world will compete for the prize pool of $1 000 000.

Four places on the WESG 2019-2020 list of participants will be taken by direct invites, while the remaining twenty tickets will be drawn at the regional qualifiers. It is noteworthy that the Russian teams received a separate qualification from the CIS, the winner of which will receive a slot directly.

WESG 2019-2020 will be held with softer requirements to the national composition of the players of one team than the last tournaments. At previous tournaments in the series, the entire roster had to represent a single country, whereas now only three players of the same nationality are required.
