Evil Geniuses won ESL One NY 2019
ESL One New York 2019 took place September 26-29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The competition for the prize fund of $200 000 began with a group stage in the format of Double Elimination (GSL) BO3, the four finalists of which advanced to the Single Elimination BO3 + BO5 stage.
Evil Geniuses were in the same group with 
Astralis, OpTic & 
FaZe, they confidently dealt with their rivals and took first place. In addition to the future champion, Liquid, 
G2 & Astralis have managed to the next round.
In the semi-final stage of the playoffs Evil Geniuses defeated G2, and in the decisive BO5 contest they defeated Astralis 3-1 on the maos. The North American team is writing down their ESL One New York 2019 title and taking the $100 000 cash prize for first place.
Vincent "Brehze" to Cayonte was named the strongest player in ESL One New York 2019 by HLTV.org.
