Fnatic and NiP Drop out of Starseries i-League Season 6

The two best Swedish teams in the world, Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, have announced they will not attend Starseries i-League Season 6 next month.

This news only comes two weeks before the start of the CS:GO event that is set to take place in Kiev, Ukraine. The event runs Oct. 7-14 and contains 16 teams playing for a prize pool of $300,000.

It is still unknown why both Fnatic and NiP are now deciding to abandon from this event as there is not any other conflicts known about. Both teams failed to reach the playoffs of the ongoing FACEIT Major and may become a part of the normal post-Major shuffle that may ensue.

Taking one of the spots for the event will be Vega Squadron, a CIS region team who had some minor success at the FACEIT Major. It is still not known who will take the other spot but Starladder noted that it would be announced on Sept. 24.
